CONFERENCE REMINDER STUDENT PRIZE COMPETITION TO PARTICIPATE AT THE CEA CONFERENCE
The annual conference will take place at The New School (newschool.edu) in New York on June 7-8, 2019. Apply with an abstract by April 1 and participate at the conference. Find more information on proposals and how to participate at the conference here.
The theme will be: Boundary Crossings in Culture, Power, and Experience: Re-imagining Higher Education.
The purpose of the conference is to explore contemporary issues around boundary crossing, as they relate to universities and learning, broadly conceived. We encourage a variety of creative proposals: traditional panels and presentations, but also action learning, organizing workshops, plays and poetry slams, design charrettes, culinary events, and site-specific activities in New York City, from both students and faculty. Registration for the conference will open on May 1, 2019.
STUDENT PRIZE COMPETITION
The Critical Edge Alliance (CEA) is collaborating with the international student magazine Critical Edges.
In preparation to the upcoming CEA annual conference, we are launching a Prize Competition by calling for submission for the magazine's three monthly focus on "Crossing Borders". One CEA Student can win a sponsored opportunity, including conference fee, transportation, and accommodation, to attend the conference at the New School in New York City, June 7-8, 2019. To participate you need to submit a paper by April 15. When thinking about the concept and one's own experiences with it, one is reminded of its complexities and richness and the fact that they affect our lives on a daily basis, with or without us consciously knowing it. We are looking forward to your submissions and participation in the prize competition!
